Guildford on 18th May 2015 was the first outing for my new programme. The music is Brad Paisley’s Cliffs of Rock City. The music has an extremely fast beat so it has been slowed down ever so slightly for my programme. I got several complements for the speed of skating, which was nice.
Sadly there were a few silly mistakes, just down to nerves and pressure of competition. This cost me a few points, I was aiming for a score of 16. I scored 12.17 placing me 6th out of 8. Whilst not great, this was a good effort for a first performance, and much better than last year’s start to the season. I am now looking forward to competing in Sheffield for the British Adult Championships in June. Video and photos of my performance can be found below.
