Welsh Championships 2013

Posted on 5th November 2013 Written by Mark Warner

On 10th October 2013 I competed at the Welsh Championships IJS competition held at Deeside Ice Rink.  This was the first time I’d competed since my son was born and so I was a bit more nervous and out of practice.

Consequently this turned out to be the first competition during which I fell, during a Salchow Loop combination jump.  Consequently I came second (out of two competitors) and only scored 9.11 (my lowest score ever), which was also just below the 9.5 I was needing to qualify for the British Adult Championships in 2014… so its back to more competitions and Level 2 tests in order to continue my pursuit to qualify.
